Jewish Mandel Bread with Chocolate Chips

This mandel bread recipe is very old and has been passed down through four generations in my family.   

It goes well with milk, coffee, or hot tea. Jennifer Schnapp from Irvine, California  

What's in it 1/2 cup of oil for plants 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon of sugar, split up  

Two big eggs that are not cooked Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 and a half cups of regular flour

Warm the oven up to 375°. Mix oil and half a cup of sugar in a big bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.  

Mix in the vanilla. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together, then add the oil mixture slowly while beating.  

Add the chocolate chips and mix them in. For at least two hours, cover and put in the fridge.
